Thank you for considering Tanknology for this project. Tanknology
prides itself on being the leader of storage tank compliance solutions.
1.0 Location/Structure: Purchaser has stipulated the location(s) and general description(s) of the
AST(s) to be inspected (the "AST(s)') on Schedule A, which is attached and incorporated herein
by reference.
2.0 Inspection Services: Tanknology will perform a formal external inspection per STI SP001
specifications on the AST(s), including:
2.1 Mobilizing necessary Tanknology resources on site.
2.2 Providing a certified STI SP001 inspector to perform the inspection.
2.3 Performing a formal SP001 external inspection following the guidelines set forth by the
Steel Tank Institute.
2.4 Conducting Ultrasonic Thickness ("UT") testing (A -scans) as required, typically on
single wall tanks and double walled tanks with fuel or water found in the tank interstitial
area. UT testing specifications: Tanknology will section the tank bottom in 1'x 1'
sections and take 3 readings per quadrant. Readings will be taken on the tank top in
similar 1'x 1' sections. Any areas exhibiting excessive corrosion will also be UT tested.
2.5 Performing containment measurement/calculations for ALL the AST(s).
2.6 Upon completion, providing Purchaser a field inspection report covering all the AST(s)
inspected.
2.7 For the waste oil tank, this SP001 Formal Inspection does not meet California Hazard
Material Assessment criteria.
Tanknology will also make mutually agreed upon repairs to the AST(s). Repairs to be made by
Tanknology, if any, must be described in Schedule B, which is attached and incorporated herein
by reference, or must otherwise be mutually agreed to in writing.
Note: If internal corrosion is detected further investigation is required, but is NOT included in
this proposal.
Note: Tanknology encourages Purchaser to complete a full site assessment of its existing tank
inventory. Facilities with multiple tanks likely have a different inspection schedule,
