Box 6004 <br />San Ramon, CA 94583-0904 <br />Marketing - Sales West <br />Phone 510 842-9500 <br />The following and attached documentation are being submitted to fulfill release reporting requirements in <br />accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Article 5, Section 2652 <br />and with verbal commitments made by Chevron during tank removal activities on August 24, 1998. <br />The information provided below corresponds to each of the designated subsections within Section 2652: <br />2652 (b) Indications of an unauthorized release were witnessed during UST removal activities on <br />August 24, 1998 by a representative from San Joaquin County Public Health Services (Eric Trevena) <br />and by representatives from Chevron Products Company (Brett Hunter, Larry Wallace). Soil <br />samples were collected at this time to confirm the occurrence of a release and were submitted to a <br />state certified laboratory for analysis. Tabulated results of soil sample analyses confirming the <br />occurrence of a release have been included with this report. Certified analytical results of soil <br />sampling will be transmitted within the final report describing all UST closure activities. <br />Investigation of the release began with field inspections during UST removal activities on <br />August 24, 1998. Immediate measures to stop the release were taken by removing all UST's <br />and associated piping. No emergency conditions were present. <br />The notification of an unauthorized release was telephoned by Chevron to San Joaquin County PHS- <br />EHD (Kasey Foley) on August 25, 1998. <br />2652 (c) On August 28, 1998, an Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized Release (Leak) <br />Contamination Site Report (attached) was submitted to San Joaquin County Public Health Services. <br />In addition to the information provided on that report, the following are presented to satisfy all <br />requirements of this subsection: <br />(1) see attached unauthorized release report <br />(2) see attached unauthorized release report <br />(3) see attached unauthorized release report <br />(4) see attached unauthorized release report <br />(5) see attached unauthorized release report <br />2652 (c)(6) see attached unauthorized release report.
