ed, pump at maximum allowable rate for remainder of test.
• Once flowrate is de termor p
' a Total pumping time will be eight hours.
• Measure drawdown in observation wells hourly. Measure drawdown in extraction well
every half hour after the maximum flowrate has been established.
• When the pump test is completed, measure recovery in wells after the pump has been
turned off(approximately 15 to 30 minutes).
• Remove all equipment from the wells and the site.
• On January 29, 2002 in the morning, the activated carbon will be delivered to the site.
The carbon will be delivered in a truck with a lift gate (3 vessels).
• Unload the carbon and place near the Baker Tank. Connect the hoses to the carbon unit,
tsoak the carbon, and secure the site (carbon unit and Baker Tank).
January 30 - February 1, 2002
' • Pum the water through the activated carbon and discharge into the sewer system at a
P g
maximum rate of 5 gpm. This should take two to three days, depending on the volume of
water generated during the pump test. Collect one sample of the discharge water at the
beginning of the pumping on the first day, one on the second day of pumping, and one at
1 the end of the pumping. Submit the samples to Argon for analysis of TPHg, BTEX, and
seven oxygenates on standard turn around time.
• If there is drummed groundwater stored on site, discharge this water through the carbon
system as well.
• When the water discharge is completed, collect a carbon sample from the carbon unit and
Fedex the sample to the US Filter contract lab in Los Angeles for analysis and profiling
' (Fedex to USF/Westates, Atm.. Lab, 5375 South Boyle Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90058,
phone #1800 659-1771).
• Disconnect the hoses and secure the site (carbon unit and Baker Tank).
' • Once the discharge has been completed and the Baker Tank has been cleaned, call the
above number and schedule a pick up of the tank on Monday or Tuesday, February 4 and
5, 2002. Check to see if someone from our office needs to be there for the pickup of the
' tank. I don't think so.
1
i
