TREADWELL & ROLLO
6.0 CONCLUSIONS
No diesel or BTEX were detected in the soil using field screening tests or laboratory
' testing. Only a very low level of petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel were detected in the
groundwater. These analytical results corroborate the findings of our earlier site
investigation conducted in late April of this year The concentrations of diesel detected
in the downgradient groundwater diminished over the intervening five months. These
' results appear to indicate that the diesel can be expected to attenuate with time due to
naturally existing factors Since the diesel was only detected in very low levels and no
chemicals regulated by the State of California to preserve drinking water quality were
detected, we do not believe any additional remedial work is required. We recommend
the well be monitored for one more quarter. If the additional monitoring results confirm
our present findings, a formal petition for site closure should be made to the Local
Enforcement Agency.
7
11070707 PJC 1$ November 1993
1
