PSC's letter succinctly summarizes the main points presented at
this meeting and requests changes for future groundwater sampling at this site.
EHD concurs with recommendations to continue measuring depth -to -water and total depths for
all wells on a quarterly basis to determine groundwater gradient; discontinue sampling monitoring
wells MW -3 and MW -6 based on well locations and non -detect results reported historically for
these wells; and annual collection in July of groundwater samples from MW -10.
EHD recommends that you continue to build upon the site conceptual model submitted to EHD in
April 2003; and revise the fate and transport model included in Quarterly Groundwater
Monitoring Report, October 2004 dated August 19, 2005, with site specific data, where possible,
and propose a method for testing this model.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-3456
or by electronic mail at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Victoria McCartney, Senior REHS
7
Unit IV -Site Mitigation
c: Paul Anderson — PSC
Thomas Neely, PG — ETIC
James L.L.
