I
Hugo Monsanto
Page 2
San Joaquin County has experienced a great amount of rainfall this
year and groundwater levels have risen at many sites in the county.
The 75 foot depth proposed for the air sparge wells in the "Final
Remediation Plan" should be evaluated at the time of their
installation.
The "Final Remediation Plan" states that monitoring wells MW1, MW9,
MW10, MW11, MW12, and MW13 will be sampled quarterly during
operation of the system. In addition to this proposed sampling,
monitoring well MW2 should be sampled semi-annually and all of the
monitoring wells should be sampled yearly.
Lab data sheets for the air and groundwater samples collected in
October and November 1994 were not included in the report. Also
field data collected during the vacuum test, soil vent test, air
sparge test, and combined test were not included in the report.
Please submit this data to PHS/EHD for their records and review.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Lagorio at (209) 468-
3449.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, Lead Senior REHS
Site Mitigation Unit
ML
Enc.
c: CVRWQCB - Beth Thayer
c: Burlington Environmental
DiAeM. inson, REHS
Supervisor
