I would rather have you read the explanation why PSC did not provide
trend analyses for Pz-1 and PZ -2. Please read paragraph one of Section 4.1.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Phone: (209) 468-9852.
Fax: (209) 468-3433
Email: vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
-----Original Message -----
From: Jim Barton[mailto:jbarton@waterboards.ca.gov]
Sent: Tuesday, September 27, 2011 12:04 PM
To: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Cc: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Subject: Re: FW: Earthgrains Baking Companies, Inc. site at 2651 Airport Way, Stockton
Hi Vicki,
I have no problem discussing the case. at the next LOP. meeting, nor do I have a. problem
with supporting a focused remediation (injections?) in the hot spot.
What is your position on additional remediation,. Nuel?
Seems we should be interested in the most impacted wells. What was PSC's reason for not
providing estimates for PZ -1 and PZ -2? Thanks.
Jim
James L.L. Stockton,
California. This site has one "hot spot" and Nuel expressed concern about closure
consideration since this site does not meet the new low-risk criteria for closure. Nuel
would also like remediation of the "hot spot" near PZ -1 and PZ -2 before considering site
closure.
During our discussions, you asked that I check the status of the two domestic wells and
one irrigation well on adjacent parcels south of the Earthgrains's site; provide mass
estimates, and an estimate when water quality objectives would be achieved at this site.
1
