1 <br /> 2 GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> On behalf of PSC, ETIC performed the fourth quarterly groundwater-monitoring <br /> event on November 10, 2005 The data are presented in the following sections <br /> 1 Summary tables for groundwater elevations, well depths, and analytical results are <br /> Included as attached Tables 1 through 6 Site maps for groundwater elevations and <br /> analytical results are Included as attached Figures 1 through 6 Field data sheets are <br />' Included In Appendix A Laboratory analytical reports are included in Appendix B <br />' 2.1 Groundwater Monitoring Procedures <br /> Groundwater elevations and total depth measurements were obtained from 13 <br />' monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-13), six sparging wells (SP-1 through <br /> SP-6), and two piezometers (PZ-1 and PZ-2) Well depths, groundwater <br /> levels, and the potential presence of free-phase gasoline product were <br /> measured in each well prior to sampling utilizing an electronic oil/water <br /> Interface probe <br /> Quarterly groundwater samples were collected and submitted for laboratory <br /> analysis from the following wells MW-1, MW-5, MW-7, MW-8, MW-10, <br /> MW-11, MW-12, SP-1, SP-2, SP-3, SP-4, SP-5, SP-6, PZ-1, and PZ-2 Thls <br /> event did not include wells MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-6, MW-9, and <br /> MW-13, which are collected on an annual basis during the third quarter <br /> ' Prior to sample collection and If possible, the wells were purged a minimum <br /> of three well-casing volumes with a dedicated Waterra sampling system in <br /> order to collect a representative sample Water quality parameters of the <br /> purged water (pH, conductivity, temperature, and the visual observation of <br /> water clarity) were measured utilizing field instruments The purged water <br /> was stored in 55-gallon drums and the drums were transported to a PSC <br /> licensed waste disposal facility <br /> Upon purging the appropriate volume of groundwater, sample aliquots were <br /> ' retrieved and placed in laboratory provided containers The containers were <br /> properly labeled, stored on ice in a cooler, and transported under chain-of- <br /> custody The samples were then submitted to STL, a California-certified <br /> ' laboratory located in Pleasanton, California Groundwater samples were <br /> analyzed for BTEX, TPH-g, oxygenate analytes (TBA, MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, <br /> TAME), and 1,2-DCA by EPA Method 8260B <br /> 6 <br /> Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 4th Quarter-November 2005 <br /> Prepared for SARA LEE BAKERY GROup,INC Prepared by PSC Environmental Services <br /> Investtganve and Quarterly Report 14th Quarterly Report 11_2005 doc February 24 2006 <br />
