2,2 Groundwater Elevation and Well Depth Data
I•
Free product was not observed among the wells, based on the measurements
obtained utilizing the oil/water interface probe
Groundwater elevations decreased approximately 2 56 feet from the previous
event During this event, the average depth to groundwater in the wells was
47 60 feet bgs (-30 92 feet msl) The elevations ranged from-3135 to-30 40
' feet msl The groundwater flow direction was easterly at a gradient of
approximately 0 003 feet per linear foot
The well depth measurements at wells MW-5, MW-7, SP-1, SP-5, and SP-0
a N
indicated that the wells have been silted-in Wells MW-5, MW-7, and SP-1 G1sa
will be redeveloped, if possible, during the next quarterly event Wells SP-5 60J
0,14
and SP-6 will not be developed at this time, since the wells will no longer be
sampled as approved during the November 10, 2005 meeting with SJCEHD
2.3 BTEX and TPH-g Analytical Results
BTEX and/or TPH-g were detected in the groundwater samples from wells
MW-1, MW-5, MW-7, MW-11, SP-1, SP-2, SP-6, PZ-1, and PZ-2 11
M The current BTEX concentrations were compared to the California Drinking
Water Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL)s The MCLs in groundwater
are benzene (1 µg/L), toluene (150 µg/L), ethylbenzene (300 µg(L), and
' xylenes (1,750 µg/L) Based on the current groundwater monitoring data, the
MCL for benzene was exceeded in wells MW-1, MW-7, MW-11, SP-1, PZ-1,
and PZ-2 The MCL for toluene was exceeded in wells MW-1 and SP-1 The
MCL for ethylbenzene was exceeded in wells MW-Mhd PZ-1 The MCL for
' xylenes was exceeded in wells MW-1 and SP-1 r d 17t
' 2.4 Oxygenates and 1,2-DCA Analytical Results
The analytes TBA, DIPE, ETBE, and/or TAME were detected in wells MW-
1, MW-5, MW-7, SP-1, and PZ-1 The MCL for MTBE in groundwater is 13
µg/L However, MTBE was not detected in any of the wells
The analyte 1,2-DCA was detected in wells MW-1, MW-5, MW-7, MW-8,
MW-12, and SP-5 1,2-DCA was a component of gasoline during the 1980's
The MCL for 1,2-DCA in groundwater is 0 5 µg/L Based on the current
groundwater monitoring data, the MCL for 1,2-DCA has been exceeded in
wells MW-1, MW-5, MW-7, MW-8, MW-12, and SP-5
