WELL SAMPLING <br /> Wells MW-2 through MW-4, MW-6, and MW-8 were purged and sampled using <br /> polyvinyl chloride and Teflon bailers for purging and sampling, respectively A <br /> Grundfos RediFlo-2 electric submersible pump was used for well purging and sampling <br /> monitoring wells MW-i, and MW-9 through MW-13 Glass bottles of at least 40 <br /> milliliters volume and fitted with Teflon-lined septa were used in sampling for volatile <br /> organics These bottles were filled completely to prevent air from remaining in the bottle <br /> A positive meniscus forms when the bottles are completely full A convex Teflon septum <br /> was placed over the meniscus to eliminate air After capping, the bottles were inverted <br /> and tapped to venfy that they did not contain air bubbles The sample containers for <br /> other parameters were filled and capped <br /> SAMPLE HANDLING AND DOCUMENTATION <br /> The following section specifies the procedures and documentation used during sample <br /> handling <br /> Sample Handling <br /> All sample containers are labeled immediately following sample collection Samples are <br /> kept cool with ice until received by the laboratory ice is replaced each day to maintain <br /> refrigeration At the time of sampling, each sample is logged on a <br /> chain-of-custody record that accompanies the sample to the Department of Toxic <br /> Substance Control-approved laboratory <br /> A-4 <br /> $ICTI 102\1 02QR02 DOC <br />
