A meeting was held ,lune 13, 1996 to discuss the results and
additional work necessary to define the extent of soil and groundwater contamination. No due
date for the submittal of a work plan was established at that time. Please nate that you are
hereby directed to submit a work plan to continue the soil and groundwater investigation by}uly
3, 1997.
Due to the close proximity,of the tanks within the fuel farm, the contamination originating from
each tank will mingle during migration. Therefore, each release will not have distinct
boundaries. Since the plume of sail and groundwater contamination evidenced to date has
mingled, PHS/EHD suggests that the responsible parties jointly submit a State Water Resources
Control Board Commingled Plume Account application.
Each responsible part} should complete and submit to the State Water Resources Control Board
the enclosed cleanup fond application.
If you require any information to complete the application or have any questions regarding this
directive, please contact me at(209)468-0337,
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health division
Mary Meays, Senior REHS Margare agorio, REHS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
enclosures:
UST Cleanup Fund Application and Commingled flume Account information (each RP)
Commingled Plume Account Application Package (SIC Dept of Aviation)
cc.
