Mike Infurna fEH
From: Marcus Pierce [mpierce@waterboards.ca.gov]
Sent: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 9:46 AM 2100
To: Mike Infurna [EH] gd
Cc: John Russell 0
Subject: California Army National Guard Site )y0d .
Hi Mike,
I have completed my review of the latest report and we will be issuing comments. There are
areas of the CANG Site that may warrant NFA, but I think they should install additional
monitoring wells and collect more groundwater data before we consider closing potential
petroleum release areas.
I spoke to my supervisor (John Russell) and we will take over the whole site. I assume
from our conversation yesterday that this is acceptable to the County, but let me know if
you have any objections. I still think you should issue your letter stating the County's
concerns with the areas they are proposing for NFA.
Marcus L. Pierce
Engineering Geologist
CVRWQCB
916-464-4733
[MY EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED TO: mpierce@waterboards.ca.gov]
1
