The San Joaquin River is to the southwest, and it 's juncture <br /> with the Stanisiaus River is about 7 miles to the south_ The <br /> topography is very flat, with elevations ranging from 20 to 30 feet; <br /> (Plate III_ ) The property is in the northern part of the McMullin <br /> Ranch Gas field, which produces dry gas from Upper Cretaceous gas <br /> sands ranging in depth from 4500 ' to 7200 ' . <br /> The area is developed almost exclusively for farming and livestock; <br /> there is no major commercial or industrial activity within a <br /> one-mile radius of the property. The soils in the area are <br /> classified as Dinuba, light brownish-grey fine sandy loam. <br /> PROXIMITY TO PUBLIC & DOMESTIC WELLS: <br /> There is a domestic well located on the property, located <br /> approximately 75 feet from the removed UST; (Plate VI; ) the <br /> locations of other domestic wells in the area were located by Mr. <br /> Richard Thorpe, and are shown on Plate IV. Information on the water <br /> well on the property is limited; the original owners of the property <br /> are deceased, and no records could be located. Contact was made <br /> with the firm that drilled the well ; they could locate no records on <br /> the well , but estimated that it was drilled about 25 years ago, was <br /> 80 to 100' deep, and had 10" easing and dual submersible pumps. <br /> i <br />
