Site Health & Safety Plan UST Removal and Replacement <br />574 West Grantline Road <br />Tracy, CA <br />7.0 Personal Protective Equipment <br />The use of personal protective equipment will be at the discretion of the Site <br />Health and Safety Officer based on the following table or upon the request <br />of on-site personnel. <br />Condition/Activity <br />Protective Equipment <br />General Site Work (Level D) <br />Hard-hat, chemical protective <br />boots, work clothes, safety lasses. <br />Soil Contact or Handling <br />Level D plus: neoprene, PVC or <br />nitrile gloves, tyvek suit. <br />Chemical Contact or Handling <br />Level C plus: neoprene, PVC or <br />nitrile gloves, tyvek suit. <br />Wet Conditions <br />Level D plus: neoprene, PVC or <br />::1 <br />nitrile gloves, poly-coated-tyvek <br />suit, neoprene or PVC boots. <br />If concentrations exceed the allowable exposure levels then level C, listed <br />above, with an approved air purifying respirator and the appropriate <br />cartridges shall be required, unless mitigation can be done without <br />personnel contact to the chemical. <br />Eyewash bottles will maintained in the support area along with the site first <br />aid kit.
