06/28/1999 10:22 209-835-4767 P05TNET PAGE 02/19 <br />1.0 Introduction <br />This site and health safety plan has been developed for the <br />underground storage tank (UST) removal and replacement actions to be <br />taken at 574 West Grantline Road in Tracy, Ca. This plan is intend as a <br />practical approach to the activities in the light of the potential occupational <br />and public health concerns. The requirement of this plan, including those for <br />personal protective equipment, may be upgraded or downgraded at any time <br />at the discretion of the on site safety officers appropriate. <br />This plan will serve as the minimum guidelines for protective <br />measures for all contractors and sub -contractors involved in the site <br />activities. Individual sub -contractors may elect to implement more stringent <br />measures for their own workers. Each contractor will provide health and <br />safety equipment for their own employees. <br />All on-site personal, regulatory agency personal and visitors are <br />expected to be familiar with and comply with the provisions of this plan, <br />including all requirements for the training and medical monitoring. <br />
