Tank residue contained petroleum, which can be <br />easily removed by washing with soap and water. Contaminated <br />outer ware (i.e. coveralls) should be removed before leaving the <br />site. <br />11.0 Waste Handling and Disposal <br />Waste materials that might be implemented during this <br />operation such as salvage drums will be collected and disposed <br />of properly. Rinse solution will be put in to salvage drums and <br />removed from the site. <br />12. 0Emergency Responsel Contingency Plan <br />1Z.X personal injury <br />in case of minor injury general first aid procedures will be <br />applied. All injuries will be reported to the Site Safety Officer. <br />More serious injuries will require assistance ftom paramedic. <br />The project supervisor, safety officer, or another designated <br />person will contact the appropriate emergency personnel by <br />dialing 911 if they are not already on stand-by at the scene. <br />Maps illustrating the location of the nearest hospital are <br />located in Appendix B <br />XZ.3 Eye and Skin Exposure <br />Chemicals and hazardous substances may act as irritants to eyes and skin. In <br />case of exposure <br />a_ Remove contaminated clothes and shoes <br />b. Flush affected areas with plenty of water <br />c. If in eye hold eye lid open and flush with plenty of water <br />d. If irritation in eye continues call for medical support <br />
