Box 388 a Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br />(209) 468-3420 <br />UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK PROGRAM - UNIT III <br />TITLE: MAXIMUM REVIEW TIME POLICY FOR NEW UST INSTALLATION PLANS <br />NUMBER: 94-009 <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: <br />SUPERSEDES: <br />APPROVED BY: <br />NOVEMBER 1, 1992 <br />UST 31 1/23/89 <br />DATE: 6-13'9 <br />The Public Health Services -Environmental Health Division Underground Tank <br />Program staff is currently revising the existing TANK INSTALLATION <br />INFORMATION packet and PLAN CHECK GUIDELINE. At the current time, however, <br />due to the complexity of new installation plan review and the current UST <br />staff workload, the maximum review time for UST installation plans is <br />40 WORKING DAYS, effective January 1, 1991. <br />A preliminary review will be conducted by the assigned staff person within <br />20 working days of the date of plan submittal to identify any gross plan <br />deficiencies. The applicant will be notified by phone of any gross plan <br />deficiencies identified on this preliminary review. <br />At the end of the 40 day plan review period the plans will be: <br />APPROVED: One set of plans will be retained by this office and <br />all other copies will be returned to the applicant. <br />DISAPPROVED: All copies will be returned to the applicant. A <br />written plan review check list identifying plan <br />deficiencies will be provided to the applicant. A new <br />set of plans and $78.00 per hour plan check fee will be <br />required on resubmittal. A new 40 day plan review <br />period will begin on the date of resubmittal. <br />INCOMPLETE: All copies will be returned to the applicant. A <br />written plan check list identifying plan deficiencies <br />will be provided to the applicant. The same plans may <br />be resubmitted with the additional information required <br />and an additional $78.00 per hour plan check fee. A <br />new 40 day plan review period will begin on the date of <br />resubmittal. <br />It should be noted that the $624.00 plan check and field inspections fee <br />required for each initial submittal allows for up to eight hours of staff <br />review and/or field inspections. Additional time spent on plan review, <br />field inspections, meetings, and phone or office consultations, will be <br />billed to the applicant at a rate of $78.00 per hour. <br />EH 23-025 <br />A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
