Airport Way, Stockton Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I, CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Class II violations: (108, 404, 407, 605) <br /> 108. A open 5 gallon red plastic bucket of unknown waste liquid was observed in the vapor degreaser <br /> room without any labeling. In Building 3, items are being moved from one rinse/cleaning tank to another, <br /> while dripping in between tanks. Several of the tanks contain a phosphoric acid solution. The liquid is <br /> allowed to drip onto the floor under the tanks without additional clean up. The bottom of tank#7 (labeled <br /> phosphoric anodize 77 ± 5°F), in the basement below the main room, was observed with several <br /> accumulation points of a white solid both on and next to the tank. Any person who generates a waste <br /> shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste determination <br /> for this waste, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement <br /> and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by October 5, 2013. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 404. In Building 2 near the paint booth, clumps of waste from the ultrasonic cleaner were observed on a <br /> funnel and paint powder was accumulated inside three open 5 gallon buckets.. All hazardous waste <br /> containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these <br /> containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 407. Two empty 55 gallon black steel drums, one marked as "empty used for hydraulic ail," and an <br /> empty 20 gallon white plastic drum were observed in the hazardous waste storage tent without empty <br /> labeling. According to Mr. Kitagawa, the white drum may have held lab waste. Containers larger than <br /> five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked as empty with the date they were <br /> emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty <br /> containers per this section. <br /> 605. A 30 gallon black steel drum of"perchloroethylene, oil" was observed in the vapor degreaser room <br /> with no hazardous property. In Building 2 near the paint booth, clumps of waste from the ultrasonic <br /> cleaner were observed on an unlabeled funnel and paint powder was accumulated inside three <br /> unlabeled 5 gallon buckets.
