• Responsible for maintaining,organizing,inspecting and cleaning material storage <br /> areas. Determines methods of materials, supplies, tools and parts storage, <br /> identification, and stock location considering temperature,humidity,height and <br /> weight limits, turnover,floor loading capacities,required space, security and <br /> safety. Stores material in bins,on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying <br /> information such as style, size, or type of material. <br /> • Assembles and/or fabricates storage containers. <br /> • Compiles inventory control records and information such as consumption rate and <br /> characteristics of items in storage to determine stock supply and levels and need <br /> for replenishment and maintains the determined stock levels. <br /> • Coordinates,prepares,packs, loads outgoing shipments and prepares and <br /> maintains documentation and records associated with shipping materials. <br /> • Responsible for calibration of measuring instruments and tools. <br /> + Responsible for hazardous waste disposal and compliance of material disposal. <br /> + Performs daily tank inspections as required. <br /> • Assists Materials Manager in day to day activities including special projects. <br /> • The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is <br /> seldom absent from work. <br /> • Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a timely,accurate, and <br /> thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments. <br /> • The essential duties and responsibilities contained herein describe the scope of <br /> this position,but should not be considered to be an all-inclusive listing of work <br /> requirements.Individuals may perform other duties as assigned including work in <br /> other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise <br /> balance the workload. <br /> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> • None. <br /> KNOWLEDGE, SHILLS AND ABILITIES: <br /> • Ability to work well in a team environment and to interact well with coworkers, <br /> and work with a diverse group of people. <br /> • Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills <br /> required. <br /> • Ability to perform business errands using company vehicle. <br /> • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written. <br /> • Ability to interface well with all departments of the company in a highly <br /> professional manner,while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. <br /> • Working knowledge of purchasing policies,processes and procedures. <br /> • Complete working knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and <br /> procedures. <br /> • Ability to operate forklift,pallet jack,shop cranes, and other shop equipment as <br /> required. <br /> • Ability to read parts manuals and schematics. <br /> • Some mechanical inclination is preferred. <br /> • Ability to accept constructive criticism,and to function independently without <br /> requiring assistance from,or disturbing the work of others. <br /> i <br />
