r • <br /> • Perform on the job training for utility worker position. <br /> • Instructing other employees on repair,troubleshooting and maintenance of <br /> equipment. <br /> • Reports directly to Manager, Supervisor and Maintainer. <br /> • Increase responsibility in planning and scheduling of work. <br /> • Identify parts needed for repair and perform required forms for procuring materials. <br /> • Communicate with Material Manager when required. <br /> The employee can be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and is <br /> seldom absent from work.Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a <br /> timely,accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious, about assignments. <br /> • The essential duties and responsibilities contained herein describe the scope of this <br /> position,but should not be considered to be an all-inclusive listing of work <br /> requirements. Individuals may perform other duties as assigned including work in <br /> other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise <br /> balance the workload. <br /> OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> May be required to operate overhead crane during heavy repair maintenance and <br /> loading/unloading trucks. <br /> • Occasionally drives a company vehicle during an emergency road call. <br /> • May operate pressure washer. <br /> • May wash rail equipment exterior with extended pole and brush. <br /> • Facility maintenance and in-house repair of electrical and mechanical components <br /> may be required. <br /> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> • None. <br /> KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <br /> • Working knowledge of hand tools. <br /> • Ability to use hand tools. <br /> • Ability to accomplish the described duties through the use of appropriate tools, skills <br /> and acquired knowledge. <br /> • Willingness to learn new skills and abilities relative to the maintenance of rail <br /> equipment. <br /> • Possess proven experience in mechanical, electrical and/or pneumatic systems <br /> maintenance. <br /> • Ability to follow instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. <br /> • Ability to read and understand documents such as operating and maintenance <br /> instructions and procedure manuals,etc. <br /> • Ability to understand and follow safety rules, Federal Regulations,work rules and <br /> procedures. <br />
