• • <br /> Herzog Transit Services,Inc. <br /> e <br /> Job Title: Manager of Equipment Reports To: Deputy General Manager <br /> FLSA Status: Exempt Job Code: <br /> Division/Dept.: Approved By/Date: 5/23/16 <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> The Manager of Equipment is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the <br /> operations of all equipment for effective maintenance and repair programs, equipment <br /> safety programs and equipment use for the project. The position acts as a technical <br /> advisor on all equipment issues and assists the management team with equipment budgets <br /> and potential equipment purchases. <br /> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> • The primary duty of this position is to conduct and maintain the transit <br /> equipment activities. However,this position must also participate with the <br /> General Manager and Deputy General Manager in the overall administration <br /> of the project. <br /> • Responsible for controlling maintenance of the total vehicle inventory. <br /> • Responsible for all safety&related items at the facility. <br /> • Responsible for the managing the design,planning,construction and <br /> maintenance of equipment in a timely and cost effective manner. <br /> • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, <br /> communication services, and facility expansion with agency representatives. <br /> • Plans budgets and schedules equipment modifications, including cost <br /> estimates. <br /> • Inspects construction and installation progress. <br /> • Develop, administer and control annual budget. <br /> • Interview, select,hire and terminate employees. <br /> • Provide assistance to the Materials Manager in the administration of the <br /> Environmental Health and Safety Program,including hazardous waste <br /> disposal and recycling programs. <br /> • Compliance and maintenance of state and federal records. <br /> • Conducts performance reviews and makes recommendations for salary <br /> adjustments. <br /> • Keep up on technological changes such as retrofitting machinery to meet <br /> today's new laws and efficiency standards. <br /> • Work with Equipment Supervisor to facilitate a team-work approach. <br /> • Maintain a complete and up to date employee Right-to-Know program. <br />
