Also, train <br />employees when new hazardous chemicals are introduced to the workplace. Include in this training <br />topic as how to read the MSDS, where to find the hazardous ingredients, hazardous properties, safe <br />handling precautions, spill clean up, and first aid procedures. <br />• Communicate hazards of on-site chemicals to outsourced personnel and contractors appropriate to <br />their work. Require that they obtain approval prior to bringing hazardous chemicals/materials on- <br />site. Contractors must communicate hazards of any chemical they bring on site. <br />• Employees must be informed of their right to access MSDS's, any information concerning the <br />chemical. physical, and toxicological properties and their right to access medical and exposure <br />records. <br />What do the numbers stand for on a 4 -Diamond Placard? <br />Remember, if a chemical can't get in you and it can't get on you, <br />then it can't hurt you. <br />INFORM US IMMEDIATELY!!
