To: San Joaquin County Environmental health Department
Attn:Jeffrey Wong
This is a written statement in regards to how each violation was corrected.
Violation 108
1. Violation: Baking Soda waste on the floor of sand blasting the sanding chamber.
Corrective Action: We are sending the used product out to be tested to see if the product after
being used is hazardous waste. For now we will not dispose of the material until we hear back
on testing.
2. Violation: Residual ink waste from not-quite empty containers inside at least two trash
containers.
Corrective Action: The containers were removed from the trash containers on the day of the
inspections and the waste ink was drained completely from the containers. In the future the
containers will not be placed in the trash containers until they are completed drained. This will
be spot checked by supervisors and the people who empty the trash. We also had a meeting
with all production personal in regards to ink container disposal, and to make sure all containers
have been emptied before placing them in the trash containers.
3. Violation: 9 Blue 5 gallon buckets of paint waste by the wash basin.
Corrective Action: We will dispose of these with our uv waste. This is a uv product that we do
not use very often put was not waste yet. I spoke with my production managers and they said
we can discontinue inventorying it so we will dispose of it. See Manifest#009549100jjk
4. Violation: Liquid waste and filter cakes/solid residuals in the recycling process unit and two
baking units.
Corrective Action: Liquid waste will be disposed of as water based ink waste along with the
residuals from the recycling machine. We have no cakes to dispose of at this time. In the future
all waste ink will be disposed of through Ramos Environmental. We will send a sample of the
cake in to the laboratory for testing to see if it is hazardous to determine if we can go back to
the cake process and disposal. See manifest#099549100jjk
S. Violation: Unknown container under a parts washer in the metal recycling room.
Corrective Action: This container was full of degreaser and grease off of parts from the parts
washer sink this will be disposed of through Ramos Environmental.
6.
