HSC, section 25189.5/25201 (a)—Illegal treatment of hazardous waste. <br /> Upon inspecting the facility, a waste water treatment system was observed with a filter <br /> cake press with the waste sludge being managed as hazardous waste. The treatment of <br /> hazardous waste requires a tiered permit through our department. Provide applications <br /> for obtaining a tiered permit with our department. Forms are provided. Correct by <br /> 07101/09. Class II Violation <br /> #10. CCR, section 66262.11 —Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> In the south storage room on the west side of the building a fifty five gallon poly drum <br /> which contains sludge waste. Make a hazardous waste determination per this section. <br /> Correct by 07101/09. Class II Violation <br /> #15. CCR, section 66265.32 (c)— Spill control equipment not provided. <br /> Upon inspecting the facility, spill control equipment was not found onsite. Provide <br /> documentation that spill control equipment is on site for this facility. Correct <br /> immediately. Class II Violation <br /> #19. HSC, section 25201 (a) — Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days <br /> without a permit or authorization. <br /> A container of used oil was noted in the south storage room on the west side of the <br /> building. Waste disposal receipts for used oil were not found on site. An accumulation <br /> start date was not found labeled on the container. Dispose of the used oil properly and <br /> provide a copy of the disposal receipt. Correct by 07/01/09. Class II Violation <br /> #25. CCR, section 66262.23 (a) (4) — Generator manifest copies not sent to the <br /> Department within 30 days. <br /> Upon inspecting this facilities records and DTSC's hazardous waste tracking system, <br /> generator manifest copies have not been sent to DTSC within 30 days. Provide <br /> documentation that the generator copies have been sent to DTSC for all of the manifests <br /> generated at this facility. Correct by 07/01/09.
