i <br />EH&S Topics Tailgate <br />Environmental, Hea &Saferi <br />� <br />,...� fni3FRIRF IUfOi fRYC(OaMANftERS <br />• Make sure there is nothing but rain water discharging off your site <br />• Spill clean up supplies are kept at the draining location, waste storage areas, and parts storage areas <br />• Spills are cleaned un immediately upon discovery <br />• Paved work and storage areas and parking areas are swept at least weekly — more if needed <br />• The site is organized and vehicles are stored in rows <br />• The site is kept clean, and parts, debris and trash are kept picked up <br />• BMPs (these right here!) should be posted in all work and storage areas <br />• All employees must be trained on these BMPs <br />• The site must be inspected daily and reported on weekly (in the weekly BMP inspection report — part of <br />your monthly storm water paperwork) <br />• Each site must have a designated inspection team — someone from the team must be available every day of <br />operation <br />• There should be no area where soil erosion is taking place <br />Who is responsible? <br />Every employee must take it upon themselves to make pollution prevention happen! The <br />world depends on your help. <br />
