No. CA2890090002
Hospital in Tracy for evaluation. One worker was released the same day and the other two
workers were held overnight for observation. The two workers held overnight were released the
next day.
LLNL reported the incident to San Joaquin County pursuant to Business Plan, Emergency
Planning and Community Right To Know (EPCRA) requirements, due to potential health
injuries of the three workers. The
acid was contained entirely inside the room. There was no threat of discharge, illegal discharge
or threatened illegal discharge of hazardous waste to the environment. The "Notification of Hazardous Waste Discharge" title on the San Joaquin
County form also does not apply to this incident. For reference, the San Joaquin County, Official
Inspection Report (Attachment 5) is also attached to this letter.
Please contact Sav Mancieri, Group Leader, Environmental Support and Programmatic
Outreach, at (925) 422-6920 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Thomas T.
