SCINTILLATION VIAL WASTE QENERATION PROCESS <br />The majority of this waste stream consists of scinfillation fluid used in the detection of <br />radioactivity. The waste represented here are those wastes where no radioactivity is detected. <br />This waste stream is generated in the forms of. <br />s Scintillation vials containing small amounts of the Ultima gold XR scintillation fluid <br />and wipes of surfaces suspected of containing radioisotopes. <br />The quantities of scintillation fluid wastes depend on the number of projects and use of <br />radioisotopes at any given time. <br />SOURCE REDUCTION/POLLUTION PREVENTION EVALUATION <br />No other source reduction measures are planned at this time. <br />September 1, 2015 SB 14 Plan <br />
