The types of equipment
that are power -washed include landscaping equipment, heavy equipment and the trash
truck. The waste is normally
pumped out once a year.
In an effort to conserve water, conservation efforts have been implemented that affect the
routine washing of vehicles and equipment -this has resulted in a decrease of
approximately 260 lbs in wastewater generated through routine maintenance operations.
3.3 Wastewater from Floor Scrubbing
The custodial staff perform
s floor stripping and waxing upon request only, which has
resulted in a significant reduction in wastewater.
