SLAC will
continue to upgrade to machines with more modern internal coolant recycling systems.
6.3 Oil—Water Waste from Mair►tenance/Repair of Buildine and
Electrical Equipment
High voltage electrical equipment is maintained by SLAC Power Conversion Group.
Oil -filled equipment are being phased out due to ongoing changes in operational needs
as well as experimental needs. More reliable oil free equipment is purchased to reduce
the generation of oil -water waste.
September 2, 2015 SB 14 Report III -10
