This material is used
in a variety of wood structures at the LBNL. The waste stream also consists of kimwipes,
paper towels, gloves, pipette tips, and plastics contaminated with organic materials.
For SNL
9.2 Solvent Dclris
Solvent debris is generated by different operations around the site. Major generators of
solvent debris include the Biosystems Research Department and Materials Chemistry
Department. The remaining solvent debris was small volumes generated at various
laboratories throughout the site.
This waste stream was formerly used specifically for solvent debris. Due to site changes
in Waste characterization personnel, oil contaminated debris is now coded 352. The
change in the coding resulted in the increase in waste generated in 2014.
September 1, 2015 SB 14 Report III -14
