The tubes, used in the Accelerator <br />Mass Spectrometer, contained titanium hydride and zinc powders. Spent tubes were <br />packed in mineral oil prior to disposal. <br />SOURCE <br />This waste stream is dependent on programmatic demand for sample processing. A <br />new interface is currently being evaluated that could substantially reduce or eliminate <br />the use of glass tubes for sample processing.- If deemed feasible, the new process could <br />begin implementation next year. <br />September 1, 2011 SB 14 Plan 70 September 1, 2011 SB14 Plan 71 <br />
