Selected Kleinfelder opinions based u our onsite findings
included the following as numbered in our Phase I Environmental Site Assessment report:
3) The site has a history of agricultural use, and agricultural chemicals such as environmentally persistent
Pesticides which have been applied to crops previously grown on-site. Due to the proposed use of the site,
Kleinfelder recommends that shallow soil sampling for pesticides be conducted.
4) According to the water well records surrounding the subject site, dibromochloropropane DBCP has been
detected in the well nearest the subject site ranging from 0.030 ug/I to 0.470 ug/l, with 0.20 ug/I being the
Maximum Contaminant Limit for drinking water standard. Copies of the well records are located in
Appendix C of this report. Due to this reported information it is recommended that soil sampling for DBCP
be conducted on the subject site.
8) The PG&E Manufactured Cas Plant SQ-ST-LOD-1, located at the southeast comer of S.
