Material Safety Data Sheets <br /> Copies of MSDS's for all hazardous chemicals to which members of this company may be <br /> exposed are kept in binders at the following locations: <br /> MSDS Located at the This Location: <br /> Jeyvt ce ce— <br /> These locations are clearly marked with highly visible signs that state "MSDS's." MSDS's are <br /> available to all members for review during each work shift. If an MSDS is not available or new <br /> chemicals in use do not have an MSDS, the affected employee should immediately contact <br /> Safety Supervisor, who will obtain the missing MSDS. <br /> The MSDS is divided into nine (9)sections: <br /> Section 1: Includes manufacturer's name, address, and emergency telephone number, as <br /> well as the material's name, chemical formula or manufacturer's part number, <br /> and any trade names or synonyms that may be applied to it. <br /> Section 2: Includes hazardous ingredients, their percent of composition, notification of <br /> carcinogens, as well as the threshold limit value(TLV), of the chemical. <br /> Section 3: (Physical Data) Includes detailed information such as boiling point, specific <br /> gravity, volatility, evaporation rate, and other physical qualities to help identify the <br /> material by observing its appearance and odor. <br /> Section 4: Includes fire-fighting procedures, flash point, and flammable limits. <br /> Section 5: Includes information on health effects, which vary depending on the amount the <br /> worker has consumed or come in contact with.Also included is first aid and <br /> emergency information, as well as symptoms of over-exposure. <br /> Section 6: (Reactivity Data) Includes precautions to take in handling the material with <br /> regards to stability, conditions to avoid, incompatibility with other materials, <br /> decomposition, and polymerization. <br /> Section 7: Includes information regarding handling and clean up of spills and leaks. <br /> Section 8: Includes information on special protection, such as gloves, respirators, and <br /> eyewear, which should be used when handling the material. <br /> Section 9: Includes special precautions to take when handling and storing the material. <br /> V.
