Three full 55 gallon metal drums of used oil filters located in the shop all lacked the start <br /> accumulation date. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained <br /> used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately mark date of accumulation <br /> and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> -Employee marked the estimated date the containers have been on site. Since they are all full, have a <br /> licensed hazardous waste hauler remove these used oil filters and provide disposal receipt to EHD. <br /> 701. One 55 gallon drum full of used antifreeze located in the shop is lacking the start accumulation <br /> date. It is unclear how long the used antifreeze has been on site. Facilities who generate less than 1000 <br /> kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may <br /> store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose <br /> of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> Submit to SJC EHD within 30 days (09/20/13): <br /> 1. one copy of the completed "Return to Compliance Certification" form <br /> 2. a written corrective action statement for each of the above violations <br /> 3. copies of disposal receipts: used oil filters, used antifreeze, empty black metal & blue poly drums <br /> Notes: <br /> - Started on CERS: entering hazardous material business inventory <br /> - Printed out Emergency Response template &Tier I Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure Plan <br /> - Keep ER template & Tier I SPCC Plan in HMBP teal binder <br /> - In 2012, facility generated 500 gallons of used oil.
