(AGE) on behalf of the
above referenced site and has the following comments.
The report documents four soil borings that were advanced on site on December 16,
1999. Soil and groundwater samples were collected for analysis. Results of the
analysis indicate that significant petroleum hydrocarbon contamination, to both soil and
groundwater, has occurred at this site. The report recommends that further assessment
of the site is necessary to determine the vertical and lateral extent of the contamination,
and that groundwater monitoring wells will need to be installed. PHS/EHD agrees with
this recommendation.
Please submit a work plan to further define the vertical and lateral extent of the
documented contamination at this site. Submit the work plan to (PHS/EHD) by May 1,
2000. Include in the work plan a well survey that documents all municipal, domestic,
agricultural, industrial and other wells within a 2000-foot radius of the site. All pertinent
data available about the wells should be included in the survey, including boring logs,
as-built diagrams and their current use.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
LOIA CA
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Maret La o, REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Supervisor, Unit IV
cc: Marty Hartzell, CVRWQCB
Brian Millman, AGE
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
