To date we have received neither
the Workplan nor the Report. However, your consultant ETIC Engineering Inc. contacted me by phone
on 6 July 2006. After a discussion on the progress of the file search, a decision was made to request
an extension. On 17 July 2006 1 received your fax, dated 14 July 2006. 1 concur with the following
schedule from your fax:
25 August 2006: "Provide the results of the Phase 1 Site Assessment."
• 30 September 2006: "Submit a Work Plan for a Site Assessment if warranted by Phase I
Assessment findings or request that ExxonMobil not be identified as a responsible party for the
property, and provide detailed findings to support request. If a Work Plan is submitted, a
schedule will be provided which outlines the implementation of the investigation work and the
investigation report submittal."
The extension appears reasonable, considering the cost for a Phase 1 to ExxonMobil and potential
benefit of compliance with Regional Board directives. I concur with the bulleted schedule. You may
JI me at (916) 464-4615 for questions or additional information.
TMES L. L.
