Signal used to begin evacuation -pull down alarms and/or Public Address System to announce evacuation. <br /> B. Each individual is to follow the evacuation routes posted in their respective work area after personnel are instructed to <br /> evacuate the building. Employees are not permitted to return to their work area until it is determined by management <br /> to be safe. <br /> C. Evacuation Routes- See map <br /> VIII.Responsibilities of Emergency Coordinators <br /> A. Activate alarms system or other internal notification device to initiate evacuation. <br /> B. Notify authorities: Police,Fire Department etc. This should be done within minutes of the emergency. <br /> C. Identify the type,source,amount,and degree of release of any materials. This includes materials which become a waste <br /> as a result of the incident,by being spilled,discharged from a ruptured tank,processing chemical leaks, leaks of silver <br /> bearing solutions,etc. When necessary a chemical analysis may be required. <br /> D. Assess the potential hazards to human health or the environment. The assessment must include direct and indirect <br /> effects from fires,explosions, and spills(i.e. toxic, irritation,and asphyxiating gases,surface water run-off,etc.) <br /> E. If the emergency could cause a threat to human health or the environment outside the facility: <br /> Emergency Action Plan 6 <br /> 1/8/98 Last Update:02/07/00 <br />
