Personnel in the auto shop have been instructed to clean up such leaks <br /> immediately. <br /> • The 55-gallon drum and excess oil in bin 45 have been pumped out by the recycler. Employees <br /> in the auto shop have been instructed not to allow the drum to be overfilled. <br /> • Oil stains—employees in the auto shop will be more vigilant about cleaning up spills in the <br /> future. <br /> Item # 19: <br /> • The used oil filters in Bins #1 and#2 have been picked up by the recycler and new labels have <br /> been affixed with the new accumulation start dates. <br /> • The drum of used absorbent has been picked up by the recycler and new labels have been <br /> affixed with the new accumulation start dates. <br /> • Personnel in charge of this area have been instructed to make sure labels are changed and the <br /> correct date is marked as soon as accumulation of hazardous waste begins. <br /> • The 1-gallon containers on the ground outside the bins were later identified as paint thinner. <br /> There was not a proper drum available at the time the painters left the thinner. Employees who <br /> handle this waste have been instructed to properly label all containers and place them in <br /> secondary containment. Mop Buckets—have been labeled"Oily Water—Empty Daily" and <br /> "Water and Antifreeze—Empty Daily" and will be emptied in to the proper containers for <br /> recycle. <br /> • Containers used to drain oil—have been emptied, labeled, and will be emptied as soon as the <br /> job is complete. Employees have also been instructed to make sure the container they are using <br /> to drain fluids is big enough to prevent overfilling. <br /> Bringing Earth's Resources to Life <br />
