19.6 A fixed monitoring system for Grade D breathing air for Carbon Monoxide and Air <br /> Temperature is located in the Sulfuric Plant Motor Control Center (MCC) which <br /> will initiate a continuous alarm in the sulfuric operations control room. This <br /> procedure monitors the supplied air (Line-Air) which is used during confined <br /> space entry operations <br /> 20.0 DESCRIPTION OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES <br /> The purpose of this section is to describe the equipment and supplies normally <br /> available for emergency response. <br /> 20.1 Emergency equipment and supplies locations are as indicated: <br /> Spill response supply equipment South ER building (1 box) <br /> North ER building (1 box) <br /> SCBA units and spare Wttle South ER building (2 ea) <br /> Shift Supervisor office (2 ea) <br /> North ER building (2 ea) <br /> Level A response suits Shift Supervisor office (2-NH3, 2-acid) <br /> Scalehouse (1-acid) <br /> 20.1.1 Only ERT members are allowed access to these locations. <br /> 20.1.2 Equipment and supplies at each location are shown on the inspection forms. <br /> 20.1.3 Emergency equipment must be inspected by ERT members on a monthly <br /> basis, using the attached inspection forms. <br /> 20.2 Hand-held fire extinguishers are located throughout each building'and all plant <br /> areas. Locations shown on the hazardous materials management plan (HMMP). <br /> 20.2.1 Fire extinguishers shall be clearly marked for easy visibility. <br /> 20.2.2 Fire extinguisher inspections will occur monthly and will be performed by <br /> assigned department personnel. <br /> 20.3 Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) are located in a cabinet in the hallway <br /> at shift supervisor's office and in the emergency equipment sheds located , <br /> southeast of the E&I shops and north of the Engineering/Safety offices building. <br /> 20.3.1 SCBA's are in portable boxes, which are clearly identified. <br /> 20.3.2 SCBA's are stored in pairs at each location <br /> 20.3.3 One additional air bottle is stored with each SCBA . <br /> ERT Contingency Plan Page 23 06/24/99 <br />
