According to the lab supervisor, approximately 30 gallons of 93%-98% <br /> sulfuric acid, ph 0, is being neutralized with a solution of 40% sodium hydroxide, daily. <br /> Except as provided in subdivisions (c) an(d), no owner or operator of a storage facility, <br /> treatment facility,transfer facility, resource recovery facility, or disposal site shall accept, <br /> treat, store or dispose of a hazardous waste at the facility, area, or site,unless the owner <br /> or operator holds a hazardous waste facilities permit or other grant of authorization from <br /> the department to use and operate the facility, area, or site, or the owner or operator is <br /> operating under a permit-by-rule pursuant to the department's regulations, or a grant of <br /> conditional authorization or conditional exemption pursuant to this chapter. <br /> Immediately submit a completed copy of the "Onsite hazardous waste treatment <br /> notification-unit page, Unidocs form hwfl 772u" for each unit, identifying which tier <br /> applies to each, or submit documentation showing how this facility will meet the lab <br /> exemption described in 25200.3.1 HSC. <br /> Note: Unidocs forms provided. <br /> #12) 66265.31 CCR: Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous <br /> waste (Repeat Violation) <br /> At time of inspection several areas throughout the facility were not being operated in a <br /> manner to prevent the release of a hazardous waste.
