Item#20:Failed to properly label container of hazardous waste. <br /> The majority of these items were properly managed the day of the inspection and disposed of on the <br /> noted dates. New labels have been purchased and distributed that do not fade as the older plastic labels <br /> did in the past. <br /> 1-5 gallon bucket of"dark oily liquid" in yard area was disposed of on 8-27-2009 <br /> 1 small plastic container of perchloric acid was disposed of on 3-22-2010 <br /> 1-5 gallon bucket of hydraulic oil was disposed of on 8-27-2009 <br /> 1-55 gallon drum of aerosol residue was disposed of on 12-28-09; satellite accumulation start date was <br /> 1-31-2009 and well within the accumulation time limit for a satellite accumulation area during the <br /> inspection, although the label was faded. <br /> Item#21:Failed to keep containers of HW closed except when adding/removing HW. <br /> On June 30,2009,these containers were removed and properly disposed on the noted dates. <br /> 1-5 gallon bucket of"dark oily liquid" in yard area was disposed of on 8-27-2009 <br /> 1-5 gallon bucket of hydraulic oil was disposed of on 8-27-2009 <br /> Item#33: Failed to: (1)Drain of free flowing oil........ <br /> This observation was also due to out-of-service equipment In the yard area.All filters have been drained <br /> and removed, properly stored and will be disposed.All of the out-of-service equipment has since been <br /> removed and recycled as scrap metal. <br /> Item#78: Failed to:store UW lamps in a closed container and in a manner that prevents breakage and <br /> release to the environment...... <br /> The single florescent lamp that was left in a light fixture that was attached to a piece of office furniture <br /> was removed on June 30, 2009.This fluorescent lamp has been properly disposed of as Universal Waste. <br /> Item#80:Failed to:(1)store a UW electronic device in a manner that prevents breakage and release to <br /> the environment.... <br /> The microwave ovens that were in the yard area and igloo storage areas were removed on June 30, <br /> 2009 and properly recycled with other electronic waste.The other items noted in the igloo were not <br /> waste.These items noted in pictures 37 and 38 of 99 were stored usable equipment. <br />
