*SIon Io sin A;ecAlonarA Transit District <br /> system, whereby the spent aqueous solvent or less hazardous/non- <br /> hazardous solvents are reclaimed and recycled on site via a solvent <br /> recycling apparatus and the new solvent is regenerated and reused. <br /> In this case, the volume of the hazardous waste is significantly <br /> reduced; as the only potential hazardous waste is the sludge, filter <br /> cake, which would represent a much smaller volume of hazardous <br /> waste, thereby fulfilling the goal and objectives of this plan. <br /> Multi-media environmental Compliance analysis: The SJRTD' team shall take <br /> into account any additional permit to operate (PTO) which may be required by <br /> the SJVAPCD and or tiered hazardous waste permitting requirements mandated <br /> by the SJCEHD, water as well as the health and safety of the SJRTD's <br /> employees and staff, which may be required as the result of the use of a new <br /> solvent reclamation apparatus. <br /> • Maior Category B Waste: Oily Absorbent: Source reduction <br /> strategies/measures for the oily parts washer, generated in and <br /> around the maintenance facility: The following source <br /> reduction/minimization strategies will be pursued and implemented by the <br /> SJRTD's WiM team in order to minimize the generation of the oily <br /> absorbents at the SJRTD's maintenance facility. <br /> Administrative controls: As indicated earlier, the SJRTD's WM <br /> team has already begun implementing a "use until black and no <br /> longer absorbable" rule.
