Weber Street, 3rd Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> RE: Inspection Letter of the Results of Inspection of the San Joaquin Regional <br /> Transit District's Hazardous Waste Management Program (EPA ID NO. <br /> 981675093), On March 6 and 7, 2003 <br /> Dear John: <br /> The San Joaquin Regional Transit District (SJRTD) is in receipt of the above referenced <br /> inspection letter, titled " Notice to Comply', dated March 21, 2003. After a thorough review of this <br /> notice to comply, the SJRTD would like to provide the following series of compliance <br /> actionslcorrective actions, responses, comments, and observations: <br /> • First, I would like to assure you that the SJRTD has the utmost level of corporate <br /> commitment in working with the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> (EHD) and yourself toward developing a well-balanced hazardous waste management <br /> program. In addition, the SJRTD would like to continue partnering with the San Joaquin <br /> County EHD toward addressing any and all inspection findings that require corrective <br /> actions. <br /> • Second, for your information and benefit, the SJRTD has hired TRE Consulting, a <br /> premier leader and Local environmental health/safety consulting services provider in the <br /> greater San Joaquin County in assisting the SJRTD in taking quantum steps toward <br /> developing a comprehensive and systematic environmental manage i ont program, which <br /> contains a very strong hazardous waste management component. Namely, the SJRTD <br /> is in the process of developing and continuing implementation of the following multi- <br /> media environmental management, health, and safety programs: <br /> I. Environmental Management Programs: <br /> 1.1. Hazardous Waste Management <br /> 1.2. Hazardous Materials Management <br /> 1.3. Underground Storage Tank Management <br /> 1.4. Storm Water Management <br /> 1.5. Air Quality Management <br /> 1.6. Sanitary Sewer/industrial Sewer Discharge Program <br /> 1 <br />
