Non-empty aerosol wastes shall be stored in a container that prevents breakage and release to the environment, label to identify the type of universal waste, marked with date of accumulation.. and managed within one year of storage. Corrected on site. (Records showed aerosol cans were recently disposed). Discussed with generator Universal Waste management requirements including aerosol cans, lamps, alkaline batteries, mercury containing switches, CRT. electronic devices, etc in a closed container with a label identifying the content and the start date of accumulation. Universal Wastes must be managed within 1 year of accumulation, and the disposal records maintained on site for at least 3 years. A copy of January 2010 DTSC Universal Waste Fact Sheet and blank "Return to Compliance" certification have been provided to generator during this inspection. Submit a copy of the "Return to Compliance" certification, along with a written statement how each violation was corrected, and any evidence of correction to EHD by August 8, 2011. I ALL EHD STAFF TME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($116).
