Ronald A. Burt - 2 - 16 July 2004
this sampling schedule for four months with a 7 working day turnaround time for the laboratory.
Ms. McMahon's email clarified that the increased sampling would be for 1,4-dioxane and volatile
organic compounds, not total dissolved solids (TDS).
Regional Board staff concurs with the twice-monthly sampling for four months for analytical
methods 8270 and 8260, which does not include TDS. Kearney needs to report these results in the
monthly status reports. However, if there is another exceedence of effluent limits or if there is a
discharge of water that is not fully treated, we will issue a Notice of Violation, which could lead to
monetary penalties.
