AND <br /> ALPINE BUILDERS, INC. <br /> FORMER KEARNEY-KPF FACILITY <br /> GROUNDWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> This monitoring and reporting program (MRP) incorporates requirements for monitoring of the treatment <br /> process and effluent. This MRP is issued by the Executive Officer of the California Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (Regional Board)pursuant to California Water Code <br /> Section 13267. The Discharger shall not implement any changes to this MRP unless and until a revised <br /> MRP is issued by the Executive Officer. This MRP revises the requirements listed in MRP No. <br /> 5-01-269, Revision 1 issued on 16 September 2002. Specific sample station locations shall be approved <br /> by Regional Board staff prior to implementation of sampling activities. <br /> All samples shall be representative of the volume and the nature of the discharge and matrix of the <br /> sampled medium. The time, date, and location of each grab sample shall be recorded on the sample <br /> chain of custody form. <br /> Field testing instruments (such as those used to test pH and dissolved oxygen)may be used provided <br /> that: <br /> 1. The operator is trained in proper use and maintenance of the instruments; <br /> 2. The instruments are calibrated prior to each monitoring event; <br /> 3. Instruments are serviced and/or calibrated by the manufacturer at the recommended frequency; <br /> and <br /> 4. Field calibration reports are provided with the appropriate monitoring report. <br /> As shown on Attachment 1 and listed below, the Site has 19 shallow zone monitoring wells (MWs), 19 <br /> intermediate zone MWs, six deep zone MWs, and one former production well. Of these 45 wells, one <br /> deep well (INJ-1), three shallow MWs (KPS-5, TP-lA and TP-3A), four shallow MWs (SMW-1; <br /> SMW-2, SMW-4, and SMW-5), and/or two intermediate MWs (KEW-lU and KEW-2U) may be used as <br /> injection wells. Five intermediate zone MWs (KEW-3U, KEW-4U, KI-3, KI-5, and KI-12) are used as <br /> extraction wells. <br /> Shallow Zone Monitor Wells: B-1, B-4, B-5, KPS-5, KS-1, KS-2, KS-4,KS-5, KS-6, KS-8, <br /> SMW-1, SMW-2, SMW-3, SMW-4, SMW-5, SMW-6, TP-lA, <br /> TP-2A, and TP-3A <br /> Intermediate Zone Monitor Wells: KI-2, KI-3, KI-4,KI-5, KI-6, KI-8, KI-11, KI-12,KI-13,KI-14, <br /> KI-16, KI-17,KEW-IU,KEW-2U,KEW-3U, KEW-4U,KPL-5, <br /> KPU-5, and PX-1 <br /> Deep Zone Monitor Wells: DMW-1,INJ-1,KD-1,KD-4, KD-5, and KD-6 <br /> Production Well: SPW <br />
