MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO.5-01-269,Revision 2 -3- <br /> KEARNEY-NATIONAL,INC.AND ALPINE BUILDERS,INC. <br /> FORMER KEARNEY-KPF FACILITY <br /> GROUNDWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Extraction Well Monitoring <br /> The volume of extracted groundwater also shall be provided in quarterly monitoring reports as well as <br /> monthly reports. Sample collection and analysis shall follow standard EPA protocol. Extraction wells <br /> shall be monitored according to the following program: <br /> Type of Sampling Reporting <br /> Constituent Units Sample Frequency Freouency <br /> Volatile Organic Compounds 1,2 µg/1 Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Electrical Conductivity(Field) µmhos/cm Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/1 Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> PH (Field) pH units Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Temperature (Field) 'Celsius Grab Quarterly Quarterly <br /> Total Volume of Water Extracted Gallons Continuous Monthly Monthly <br /> Extraction Rate at Time of Sampling Gpm Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Average Extraction Rate <br /> (since last sampling) Gpm Continuous Monthly Monthly <br /> Pressure at Time of Sampling Psig Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Water Level 0.01 feet msl Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> 1 Required analytical method shall be either USEPA Method 8260B or 8021B and include 1,4-dioxane analysis. The <br /> maximum detection limits must meet the lowest reporting limit in the State Water Resources Control Board Policy for <br /> Implementation of Toxics Standard for Inland Surface Waters,Enclosed Bays and Estuaries of California(Appendix 4, <br /> minimum levels)or Department of Health Services detection limits for purposes of reporting(DLRs). <br /> 2 Analysis must include 1,4-dioxane which shall be analyzed be either USEPA Method 8260B or 8270C. <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> All monitoring wells shall be monitored according to the requirements listed in Monitoring and <br /> Reporting Program No. R5-2003-0838, unless the well is being used as an extraction or injection well, <br /> in which case sampling shall be in accordance with the extraction or injection well monitoring listed in <br /> this MRP. <br /> REPORTING <br /> In reporting monitoring data, the Discharger shall arrange the data in tabular form so that the date, <br /> sample type (e.g., influent, effluent, etc.), and reported analytical result for each sample are readily <br /> discernible. The data shall be summarized in such a manner to clearly illustrate compliance with waste <br /> discharge requirements and spatial or temporal trends, as applicable. The results of any monitoring <br /> done more frequently than required at the locations specified in the MRP shall also be reported to the <br /> Regional Board. In addition, the Discharger shall notify the Board within 48 hours of any unscheduled <br /> shutdown of the groundwater extraction system. <br />
