Hazardous waste <br />generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a <br />consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately <br />locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the <br />EHD. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />301 <br />CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />The rotor resurfacing machine catch basin was observed full of brake lathe shavings. Brake lathe shavings were <br />also observed on the ground surrounding the rotor resurfacing machine. Facilities shall be maintained and operated <br />to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which <br />could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean-up the brake lathe shavings and manage <br />according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining <br />how this waste was managed. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />303 <br />CCR 66265.33 Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontarnination equipment. <br />A fire extinguisher located on the west wail of the car washing area had the dial pointed to empty on the indicator. <br />All facility communications or alarm systems, Fre protection equipment. spill control equipment, and <br />decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br />operation in time of emergency. Immediately begin this practice. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />403 <br />CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br />waste. <br />-Two black metal 55 gallon drums of used absorbent located in the hazardous waste storage area were observed <br />without locking rings. <br />-One black metal 55 gallon drum of paper filters located in the hazardous waste storage area was observed open <br />without a lacking ring. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste.
