0 <br />0 <br />IMPLEMENTATION <br />When a spill occurs, the first action should be the safeguard of <br />life and property. As quickly as safety allows, determine the <br />source, identify the hazards associated with that type of hazardous <br />material and proper personal protective equipment needed, and if <br />possible, stop the flow. <br />RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The Terminal Manager is the Terminal Emergency Response Coordinator <br />and is responsible to see that the Emergency Response Plan is <br />carried out in a prompt and efficient manner providing all <br />employees instruction in containment, reporting and clean-up. <br />• All responsibilities and duties must be assigned and everyone must <br />understand their role in the event of an emergency response <br />situation. The Terminal Manager must also designate a back-up <br />Emergency Response Coordinator in the event the Terminal Manager is <br />not available. <br />n <br />LJ <br />Each employee is to be instructed on his/her reporting and <br />containment responsibilities as assigned. <br />Page 2 <br />
