All hazardous waste <br /> containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers <br /> and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 404 CCR 66265.174 Failed to inspect hazardous waste storage areas at least weekly. <br /> Hazardous waste containers are not inspected weekly. Oily staining was noted in the outdoor hazardous waste <br /> storage area and inside the shop repair pit in the area of the oil filter crushing equipment and the waste oil tank. <br /> Hazardous waste container storage and transfer areas shall be inspected weekly for leaking containers and for <br /> deterioration of containers and the containment system caused by corrosion and other factors. Immediately begin <br /> conducting the necessary weekly inspections for all hazardous waste containers at this facility. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 501 CCR 66265.192(a) Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility does not have a tank assessment for the waste oil tank located inside the tank pit. The owner or operator of a <br /> hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, <br /> professional engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable <br /> for the transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably <br /> designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the waste oil tank.
